The fourth launch event of the #WeCanDoMoreTogether WeCanDoMoreTogether project took place on March 16, 2021, in Buzău County.
The project aims to increase the inclusion and empowerment of 2200 Roma in Romania by:
Empowerment of 20 Roma communities from 5 counties (Botoșani, Brașov, Brăila, Buzău and Iași) through: community facilitation and development;
Training of 75 Roma experts and leaders at a national level to increase their involvement in decision-making targeting Roma communities and beyond;
Campaigns to promote Roma culture and identity addressed both to Roma (to better understand the elements of their own identity and stimulate its assumption), and to the majority of people, to reduce stereotypes and prejudices caused by the lack of knowledge regarding the Roma group.
