Mobilization activities carried out by 12 local NGOs

The 12 NGOs will carry out activities to mobilize members of interethnic communities (Roma and Romanians), thus promoting volunteering and involvement and becoming known in the locality. The mobilization actions are relevant for the process the 12 communities go through, supporting the “bottom-up” approach through which local people are empowered and taught to participate in solving local problems. The mobilization activities carried out by the newly established NGOs will aim at:

  • public events to celebrate national / international days: International Roma Day, Human Rights Day, World Health Day;
  • screenings of educational films to promote non-discrimination and diversity;
  • anti-discrimination and human rights campaigns.

NGOs will report on these activities and document actions through attendance lists and photos. In total, at least 360 people will participate in the mobilization actions, 180 Roma and 180 non-Roma.
