The project \"Roma Capacity and Empowerment through Lobby and Action\" aims to increase the capacity of vulnerable groups in 12 rural inter-ethnic communities in Romania from Calarasi, Braila and Constanta County, over a period of 18 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is implemented by Impreuna Agency in partnership with Sastipen and ACEDO and benefits from a 223 964 euros grant from Active Citizens Fund, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main problem addressed is the low involvement of the citizens in the communities\u2019 life and also in the decision making process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two main objectives of the project are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Creating and mobilizing of 12 interethnic groups of representation and action, at the level of 12 rural communities over a period of 18 months;<\/li>
  2. Increasing the involvement in community life of 660 people belonging to vulnerable groups (Roma and non-Roma) from 12 rural interethnic communities over a period of 18 months.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The expected results of the project include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Empowerment of 12 Roma communities from 3 counties (Br\u0103ila, C\u0103l\u0103ra\u0219i and Constan\u021ba) through community facilitation and development;<\/li>
    • Empowerment of 24 Roma experts and leaders at national level to increase their involvement in decision-making targeting Roma communities and beyond;<\/li>
    • Training in Roma history for teachers.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
